Senior year is a busy one! Your counselors will be working with you to let you know about important information and upcoming deadlines related to graduation, college/career planning and financial aid.

- Take the SAT or ACT by December 2016 if you are four-year bound. Last day to register for the December test is November 5th. Ask Ms. Judith in the Counseling Office for a fee waiver if you receive free lunch.
- Be prepared to discuss your plan after high school during Senior Audit Meetings with your counselor.
- Complete the FAFSA/Dream Act. (This is free money for college and everyone is expected to complete. If your first plan is not college, it is expected so that you have a backup plan in place.) Application is open October 1, 2016 and closes March 2, 2017. Complete the FAFSA if you have a social security number https://fafsa.ed.gov . Complete the Dream Act if you do not have a social security number https://dream.csac.ca.gov
- Apply to at least 1 community college by March 30th, 2017 if you are planning to attend a two year college right out of high school. Apply to local community colleges at http://home.cccapply.org
- Report your plan after high school to your Counselor during the senior exit meetings in April/May and have your Senior Data Sheet ready to turn in.
